We’re proud to announce that Elder Logistics has recently closed on an important deal in the Reno, Nevada area! We’ve purchased Bowen Transportation’s LTL Division, and this acquisition will dramatically expand Elder’s footprint in the southwest of the United States.
Before delving deeper into some ways this will benefit our current, and new, customers, we’d like to touch on Bowen Transportation. We’re really excited to continue fostering the culture of family that the Bowens have developed over the years with their operations.
One of the reasons why we were especially attracted to their fantastic staff and savvy, was due to their experienced management. It is our commitment to both their existing and new customers to continue providing the top-quality service they’re accustomed to. In fact, we have plans to add different methods and levels of service to this rapidly growing market.
With that in mind, we’d like to touch on a few of our plans. The first is that we will be able to better serve our customer’s freight needs through the southwest region of the US. This will provide shorter transportation times and a central location for communications on any changes or general updates needed on freight.
The second plan we have in mind is that we will now be able to more efficiently serve other states west of Nevada. As we expand operations through the US, this is having a direct positive effect on our capabilities to service nearby states more flexibly than ever before. Ultimately, we’re excited to be able to provide our customers with the ease of access required of their important business operations. After all, our customer’s business has a direct impact on the success of our business.
Lastly, we expect this expansion in our own freight and logistics business will naturally increase the level of uniformity across the board. With growing business comes the natural growing need for more uniform customer service and transportation experience. At Elder Logistics, we’re looking to continue providing this consistency to our valued returning customers and our exciting new customers as well.
